PhotoPurge ("Smart Similar Photo Purge") is a Windows desktop application published by Cokena. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect, where it lives, and how you can delete it.
PhotoPurge is designed to work 100% offline. Scanning, perceptual hashing, similarity grouping, AI best-pick scoring, and purging all run locally on your computer. We never upload, store, or transmit your photos, thumbnails, or file paths to any server. There is no cloud account and no photo library.
Local data (on your computer, never sent anywhere):
All of the above is stored in your user profile, under the folder %APPDATA%\com.spt.cleaner. You can delete any of it at any time from the app's Settings → Storage screen (Clear cache), or by removing that folder while PhotoPurge is closed.
Optional diagnostic data (only if you enable it):
If you contact us through the in-app Feedback form or by email, you may share your email address and comments. We use those only to respond to you and to fix the issue you reported. We do not sell or share your contact details.
The PhotoPurge website (cokena.com) is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and may use standard, privacy-respecting web analytics. The website does not require an account and does not collect your photos.
Because almost everything lives on your machine, deleting it is straightforward: clear the cache from
Settings → Storage, or remove the %APPDATA%\com.spt.cleaner folder with the app closed.
Diagnostic data already sent to third parties is subject to their retention policies; you can turn the
setting off to stop future collection.
PhotoPurge is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
If we change how data is handled, we will update this page and note the new date above. Continued use of PhotoPurge after a change means you accept the updated policy.
